Winter Wonderland

I believe that art is created from the heart, telling a story through the lens—reaching out to memory, emotion and a sense of place. Art understands that travelling is much more than getting to know places. It’s giving full permission to explore the beauty and the wonder, experiencing nature's vivid seasons. Timing, patience and a respect for nature—with the understanding of light and exposures—is everything when creating landscapes and photographing wildlife. When starting Artisan-me, I wanted to make these images available and give customers the opportunity to enjoy the sensory appeal in a fine art print.

Artisan-me Winter Landscape is a series photographed while nestled in between pasture land, near my home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A magical canopy of glistening ice-frosted trees and fields, this is a rare occurrence. Weather permitting, it is one that requires winter reservations with nature's elements. I call this, “refreshment behind the camera” and “cheers to the soul!” One must have a willingness for the trek, having a supreme appreciation for connected-to-nature moments. “All the noise goes away, and there is just this quiet in your ears. It's like you found a special place that's all yours.” Each image is curated and mindfully titled from the playlist of my imagination. These beautiful landscapes represent my vision of South Dakota’s genuine beauty, freedom, solitude and nature.

Prints are carefully rolled in tissue paper and packaged in a durable custom postal tube for safe shipping. Framing is not included or available from us directly. We recommend that all prints should be framed professionally.
