I believe that art is created from the heart, telling a story through the lens—reaching out to memory, emotion and a sense of place. Art understands that travelling is much more than getting to know places. It’s giving full permission to explore the beauty and the wonder, experiencing nature's vivid seasons. Timing, patience and a respect for nature—with the understanding of light and exposures—is everything when creating landscapes and photographing wildlife. When starting Artisan-me, I wanted to make these images available and give customers the opportunity to enjoy the sensory appeal in a fine art print.

Artisan-me Horses is a series photographed on the farmsteads of dear friends of mine in South Dakota. I will swap out busy-ness any day to slip on a pair of ranch boots, take a gulp of fresh air, and head to my hidden hideouts. My love for these majestic animals is full-fledged appreciation for their antics and outrageous, amusing behavior. My infatuation with these amazing animals has me chasing after them and kicking up dust—all for this die-hard enthusiast to get the right angle and the best shot. Each image is curated and mindfully titled from the playlist of my imagination. These beautiful animals represent my vision of South Dakota’s genuine beauty, freedom, solitude and nature.

Prints are carefully rolled in tissue paper and packaged in a durable custom postal tube for safe shipping. Framing is not included or available from us directly. We recommend that all prints should be framed professionally.
